Southwestern Bank and Trust Co. plans to open a loan production office in the Waterford Office Complex this week to boost its presence in north Oklahoma City. That branch “has actually been very successful, and thats the reason for opening this Waterford office — to give us more of a presence in north Oklahoma City,” said Thomas W. Parrish, president and chief executive officer of the bank. Southwestern Bank “has a number of customers out in that area. Our MegaMarket branch was designed to accommodate the loans and deposit needs in that area of Oklahoma City. This (Waterford) office gives us additional room where we can have more of a private banking relationship with our professional and business customers in north Oklahoma City,” Parrish said. The bank will not be allowed to take deposits or close loans at the Waterford office. Customers must go to a branch to do that. The loan production office will focus on business and professional customers, alternative investments and residential mortgages, he said. The banks alternative investment department, in coordination with PrimeVest Inc. of St. Cloud, Minn., will focus on selling annuities and mutual funds. PrimeVest represents more than 800 banks throughout the U.S. in investments. The Waterford office will have two employees. Suzanne Baxter will be the office manager of the Waterford location. The new office will be a place “where we meet our clients and customers to discuss their banking business,” he said. Southwestern Bank, with headquarters at 6000 S. Western Ave., also has an in-store branch at 7501 S. Walker Ave. People Robert P. Flack has been elected as a director of Lincoln National Bank.
